PSYCOACH closes in Tarragona: 4th Transnational Meeting and Final Conference

On 22 February 2025, the Anella Mediterrània in Tarragona hosted the fourth and final transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ Sport PSYCOACH project, together with the Final Conference where the results of 24 months of European cooperation were publicly presented. Psicosport / 6tma Associació acted as host of the project closure.

Hosting organisation and participants

As hosting organisation, Psicosport / 6tma Associació welcomed the team at the Anella Mediterrània in Tarragona. Attendees included Spartaco Grieco (MSV), Irene Montejano (Universidad Isabel I), Francisco “Paco” Díaz and Luis Mirón (Psicosport / 6tma), with online participation and final contributions from SC Caldas (project lead).

The closing programme

  • 9:15–10:45 · Part I (meeting): official welcome, assessment of the PSYCOACH course with all partners, evaluation of results and final conference preparation.
  • 11:30–12:45 · Final Conference: reception of in-person and virtual attendees, opening by the Tarragona Sports Council, presentation and analysis of PSYCOACH project results, presentation of the final Handbook as the project’s legacy.
  • 17:00–18:30 · Part II (meeting): final review of deliverables (SC Caldas), dissemination and impact assessment (Universidad Isabel I), project management evaluation and future development options (MSV).
  • 20:30 · PSYCOACH Tapas time: closing dinner with typical Tarragona tapas with the whole team.

  • 33 coaches enrolled in the first edition of the PSYCOACH course
  • 14 podcasts recorded on sport psychology and coaching
  • PSYCOACH Handbook with 5 modules published as open legacy
  • Online learning platform operational and available for future editions

Consolidated European cooperation

PSYCOACH closes 24 months of joint work among four organisations from three countries (Portugal, Italy and Spain) that have shown how Erasmus+ Sport cooperation can translate into concrete training tools for European coaches. The network remains active and open to new collaborations.
